Myrtle Beach, SC

My dad, uncle, cousin, and I are spending about a week relaxing in Myrtle Beach. Today we went to the boardwalk to check out the shops, scenery, and go to the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum!

Fort Meyers, FL

The school I'm student teaching at currently had April break this past week. Technically I still had Smith classes, but I decided to take them off in favor of a trip to Florida to see my grandma. It was great. So relaxing after a tough semester.

Boston

This is my second time in Boston this year. The first time was over my placement high school's February break. Last time was insanely fun, but unfortunately we weren't able to do everything we wanted to in the short time I was there, so we planed this get-together to continue the fun.

I bussed to Boston in the early morning and met up with Karen around 10am for dimsum in Chinatown. We gorged ourselves and then headed to the Aquarium to get what we thought were free tickets to the Imax theater. Turned out the free tickets were at the Science Museum, not the aquarium, so we ended up wasting an hour in line. It was alright though because we got to talk and catch up, and I guess standing and walking burns more calories than just sitting around...

We ended up getting tickets for the OMNITHEATHER at the science museum and went back later in the night with some other Smith alums. It was so neat to see the Serengeti stretched out before my eyes with a >180 degree view. I felt like I was there. Fantastic!

The next day we went to Sam Adam's brewery, got tipsy off of free beer, and walked around JP. Mike came over later in the night for dinner and we were finally able to do what we missed out on last time -- HIT UP THE GAY BAR. We were going to go to Dyke Night but it was the wrong weekend, so we went to Club Cafe instead. I've never been to a male gay bar, and it was like an anthropology lesson. I learned more about gay culture in one night than in my 22 years on earth.

Ideal Lifestyle

Since I've been so busy lately with grad school and student teaching, it's been a while since I've posted anything. Right now I'm feeling so overwhelmed most of the time, and I'm looking forward to break/ the summer (!), so I started daydreaming about my ideal lifestyle. Here we go:

My ideal lifestyle:
9am - Wake up
9:10 am Mosey around the house eating cereal, checking email/ YouTube
10am - Work out
11am - Shower and read some books/ magazines
12pm - Meet up with friends and prepare lunch
1pm - Eat said lunch
2pm - Go out shopping/ hiking/ kayaking/ photo shoot/ rock out to kpop
5pm - Play cards with friends while drinking wine
6:30pm - Prepare insanely delicious dinner
7:30pm - Eat dinner
8pm - Drink wine around a fire with friends while chatting about hotties and browsing through Cosmo
10pm - Karaoke.
12am - Sleep

Christmastime

Merry Christmas! This year was unforgettable. So much as happened in 2012: I traveled solo to Japan, interviewed for my first real job, graduated from college, said goodbye to all of my amazing, incredible friends, and started grad school. Next semester I will begin student teaching for my MAT program, and in my I will graduate with my Masters in teaching.

I didn't spend much time at home this Christmas. Inky came to visit from AZ after I was through with finals. She stayed around through Christmas and New Years. I spent Christmas at home and then I celebrated New Years with Inky and Karen in Northampton. We watched the ball rise (not drop) above the Northampton Hotel. Then they played Gangnam Style over the loud speakers and we all broke out into dance. Some hot guys complimented Inky on her outrageous dancing and asked to take a picture with her >:)
